White Kiwis Appeared: Super Vitamin and Peel Like Bananas
 

Chinese experts from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou (China) have developed a new variety of kiwi – Actinidia eriantha Benth, which has already made talk about itself all over the world. The fact is that this variety differs from ordinary kiwi in 2 bright characteristics. 

Its first difference is the increased content of ascorbic acid compared to other varieties of kiwi (from 5,69 g to 11,37 g per 1 kg of weight). 

The second difference is the white peel, which is removed from the fruit as easily as a banana peel. 

By the way, researchers noticed an interesting feature of this kiwi variety. It turns out that ascorbic acid accumulates in fruits after harvest. That is, being harvested, they continue to increase their beneficial properties. 

 

This kiwi variety is already being predicted to be extremely popular. Still – vitamins and easy cleaning are reasonable reasons to forget about the usual kiwi in favor of new ones.

However, it is not yet known how soon Actinidia eriantha Benth will appear in our stores and how much it will cost.
