How to create a relaxation area in an ordinary apartment? Easily! And this will not require special material costs, redevelopment or repairs. The first thing to pay attention to is zoning. You must set aside a small space in the room for yourself and fence it off in order to hide from the outside world and be alone with yourself. The easiest way to do this is to buy a folding screen. One or two if your room is large. If necessary, for example, if guests have come, the screen can be easily folded up and return the room to its original appearance.

Be sure to find a comfortable place to stay. It doesn’t have to be a regular sofa. An ottoman or a wide chair with a footrest is perfect for taking a semi-horizontal position. A rocking chair or a beanbag chair are also great options. The main thing is to find furniture in which you will feel comfortable and will be able to take a comfortable position for maximum relaxation.

Consider musical equipment. Try to “hide” the speakers as much as possible so that it is not clear where the sounds of nature or relaxing music are coming from. Use thick fabric on the windows to create a pleasant twilight in your personal area. Dim lamps or candles can be the main sources of light during rest.

An excellent addition for such a zone would be an aquarium with beautiful lighting. Don’t keep fish? Then, instead of an aquarium, a light panel, for example, with the effect of the northern lights, or a small biofireplace, which can be easily installed anywhere, is suitable. And to make your rest doubly pleasant, stick on a part of the wall in your relaxation zone a photo wallpaper with a nice looking natural landscape.

Pay attention to eye-pleasing accessories – such oriental souvenirs such as vases, bowls with rose petals, figurines. All of this will set you up for positive thoughts. Just do not overload the interior of the relaxation zone. Everything should be pretty laconic. Use white as much as possible in your decor. Reflecting in it, the light from lamps and candles will create the effect of diffused dim light.

Fresh flowers will help to create the most favorable atmosphere. Choose plants that don’t have a pungent odor so that they don’t mix with scent from scent lamps or sticks. If possible, create another corner inside your seating area with a small rug and large pillows. Lying or sitting on them, it is no less pleasant to indulge in your thoughts and relieve stress. When shopping for such accessories, pay attention to the fabrics. They should be as natural and pleasant to the touch as possible.
