External Description

Red-orange phyllopore is characterized by a cap with wavy edges, olive or red-brick hue, a cracking surface with flesh looking through the cracks. The hymenophore of the described species has one feature. It is a cross between a tubular and lamellar hymenophore. Sometimes it is closer to the spongy type of the hymenophore, characterized by angular pores, or the lamellar type, between the plates in which the bridges are clearly visible. The plates are characterized by yellow color and most often descend on the stem of the fungus.
