Here are some quick ways to help you relax: A great stress reliever. Hugging, your body produces the hormone oxytocin, which gives you a feeling of relaxation, trust. It is also wonderful that hugging your family and friends, you help relieve their stress as well. Communication with animals raises the level of serotonin and dopamine – neurotransmitters with calming properties. Stroking and caressing a beloved pet can quickly help us relax when we are stressed. If you don’t have time to meditate, try the 4-7-8 breathing technique. Sit in a chair or on the floor with your back straight. Inhale for a count of 4, hold your breath for a count of 7, inhale for a count of 8. Repeat for 5 minutes, this technique works.
