The costume of any animal is not only the outfit itself, but also the mask. However, not everyone likes a closed face. But the mask of an animal, whether it be a cat, a hare or a bear, can be drawn directly on the face. An adult can, of course, use ordinary makeup, just do not forget to pre-lubricate your face with petroleum jelly or greasy cream. If a child dresses up in a costume, it is better to use face painting. It does not harm the skin and is very easy to wash off. It is best applied with a watercolor, squirrel or kolinsky brush. It is better if you have a set of several brushes. The usual bold theatrical make-up is applied with special cotton swabs, which can be bought at the pharmacy. Prepare cotton swabs as well. They can draw mustaches and vibrissae.

Draw the outline of the cheeks where the mustache will “grow”. This part most resembles a pear, which has a wider part at the bottom. Try to be symmetrical. Paint over the pear with white or pink paint.
It is necessary to paint over the wings of the nose and part of the cheeks. Draw a triangle on the tip of the nose and paint over it with black paint.
The eyes are the most crucial moment. Bring them in the same way as you usually do when applying makeup. Just make the lines thicker and longer. The upper lines extend from the bridge of the nose almost to the temples. Trace your eyebrows as well. Note that the cat has them in a corner. After that, it remains to draw only the mustache and vibrissae – 2-3 arcs each, coming from the eyebrows and from the lip folds. Here it is necessary to observe symmetry. But if that doesn’t quite work out, don’t be discouraged. All cats have different personalities, and it is quite possible that it is the asymmetry that will create a unique and original image.
