Bikram yoga

Its other name is “hot yoga”. Classes are held indoors at temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

The bottom line is to perform 26 classic postures from hatha yoga and breathing exercises in a hot room, with profuse sweating.

Goal

Such conditions reduce the risk of injury during stretching, the body is worked out in an orderly, according to a well-thought-out scheme. Another bonus is that toxins are eliminated from the body along with sweat.

Ashtanga yoga

The most energetic style of yoga, suitable for the advanced audience. Beginners can’t do it.

Poses dynamically replace one another in a strict sequence, in parallel with breathing exercises.

Iyengar yoga

The emphasis is on finding the correct position of the body in space, taking into account the physical characteristics of each individual person.

Training Features

Poses (asanas) are held for a longer time than in other yoga styles, but with greater physical stress. Belts and other improvised means are used, which makes this style accessible even for the weak and the elderly.

Goal

Learn to control your body, achieve the state of “meditation in motion”, correct your posture, achieve inner harmony and peace of mind.

This style suits the perfectionist. Recommended as rehabilitation after injuries, elderly and weakened people.

Power yoga (power yoga)

The most “physical” style of yoga. It is based on ashtanga yoga asanas with elements of aerobics.

Unlike regular yoga, where pauses are provided, in power yoga, the workout takes place in a single breath, as with aerobics. Strength, breathing and stretching exercises are combined.

Goal

Strengthen and enlarge muscles, speed up calorie burning, tone the body and lose weight.
