1,7 million doses of vaccines will be delivered to Poland

In the flu season 2020/2021, 1,7 million doses of the flu vaccine intended for reimbursement and commercial sale are to be delivered to Poland. Where does this number come from? As reported by the «National Program Against Influenza» the number of imported doses is estimated in relation to the vaccination coverage of the society in previous years. When it comes to this indicator, we have no reason to be proud. In the last ten flu seasons, flu vaccination coverage has ranged between 3,26 and 4,12, with the highest number being the previous season.

This year, the flu season will be special as it will coincide with the second wave of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus epidemic. This year, experts and doctors are particularly encouraging people to get vaccinated against the flu.
