What to eat on the road?
A modern person does not always have time to have a normal lunch and have to snack on something, as they say on the go. In order not to harm the stomach, express food should be healthy and nutritious.

If you are somewhere on the road, and on the way you can go to a cafe, then, first of all, bypass fast food establishments where they sell all kinds of fast food. Shawarma, hot dogs, bigmaks, cheeseburgers, hamburgers, fries, strong meat, fish and mushroom broths, fried foods and smoked meats, pickles and marinades, hot sauces, all these are the primary enemies of the digestive system.

 

So what can you eat on the road?

This question has probably been asked by each of us at least once. Let’s think together what to cook and take on the road in order to have a good meal, while maintaining health and not complaining about a heavy burden

 

Sandwiches and vegetables

If you take vegetables on the road, it is better not to wash them, so they will retain their useful properties longer and will not deteriorate.

Raw smoked sausage sandwiches are perfect for the road. It is best to use regular sized bread. Cut it into thin, even slices. In the same way, the sausage should be cut thinly. It’s also good to make a sandwich with lettuce and eggs.

Keep in mind that it is better to make sandwiches before a snack, and sausage, bread, eggs and vegetables must be put in different bags, only after that they are carefully folded into a common one.

Boiled or smoked chicken

 

Chicken is a great choice for lunch on the road. When cooking poultry at home, salt well the water in which you will cook it, add spices. You can purchase a finished product; smoked chicken and its individual parts are suitable for this. The main thing is to hermetically pack the product for the journey. It is advisable to eat chicken on the same day.

Canned food

The great advantage of canned food is that it is convenient on the road and does not need to be cooked. Here we are talking about stewed meat, field porridge, pâté. By the way, it is better to smear it on bread already on the road. Then he will not lose his appearance.

 

Tea, coffee, drink

An irreplaceable thing while traveling and hiking is a thermos. You can pour hot coffee or tea into it. Or you can take tea / coffee in bags with you, and on the road, if you wish, boil water over a fire for the desired drink. To enhance the taste, you can take a can of condensed milk with you. Juice or soda can be purchased on the way to avoid overloading your travel bag.

Sugar, salt and spices

 

They must be taken by those who go fishing or on a hike for several days. In a travel bag, it is enough to allocate a small pocket for them.

What foods are best not to take with you on the road?

It is not recommended to take instant soups and purees with you on the road, including salads from Korean carrots. A certain substance is added to these products as a necessary component for storage, which causes an addiction of the body. Among other things, the use of such products causes the development of chronic stomach diseases.

 

So, we found out that instead of the products listed above, it is better to take soup or mashed potatoes with you on the road in a thermos, put fresh salad in a container for long-term storage. These products will need to be eaten at the first rest. A special travel cooler bag is well suited, in which food can last longer and be cool in the summer heat.

You can also keep cutlery in such a bag: plates, knives, forks, spoons and drinks.
