Vladimir Putin told why there was a failure in payments to doctors working with coronavirus

On May 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a regular meeting with government members on the coronavirus. As promised, Putin on Tuesday talked about payments to doctors that had been in trouble last week.

Then, we will remind, Putin said that payments should be made exclusively on the basis of work with coronavirus patients. “No, they set up some kind of bureaucratic gimmick around this, they started counting something there, some kind of clock, did I instruct the clock to count, or what? No, ”Putin said.

After that, the government decree, which spelled out the procedure for calculating payments “in accordance with the position held for the time actually worked,” was changed.

Today, the president said that such a ‘bureaucratic gimmick’ could have been avoided from the very beginning: then, probably, there would be fewer questions to these doctors, who work from morning till night, and to the governors too ”.

“And there would be no need to amend this government decree. It’s good that we did it, but we don’t need to shift anything to anyone, ”the president added.

Putin also said how many applications Russians have filed for one-time payments for children from 3 to 16 years old and how many children in general this will affect.

“This measure turned out to be in great demand. As of May 18, parents through the State Services portal received applications for a lump sum payment for 11, in my opinion, even more, for almost 12 million children, “Putin said.

In total, according to the president, payments will be made to 22 million Russian children. In total, this is 220 billion rubles.
