The mother of five children lost 30 kg without giving up flour and sweets

At 34, a woman looks better than at 22, and her energy has become many times more.

This is terribly insulting: to always be relatively slim, and then suddenly you are a little over 30, and you are wearing a 52nd clothing size. And if at the same time you have five children in your arms, and you don’t even have the strength to carry yourself; there is no talk at all about playing and doing with children. 

“I have never been very active, I have led a sedentary lifestyle. I was just sick, so I was thin. And in her fifth pregnancy she gained a lot of excess weight, ”says 34-year-old Gabrielle May. 

A lot is not an exaggeration. After the last birth, Gabrielle weighed 90 kilos with an average height. But for her, the problem of excess weight was not a matter of beauty, but of survival. 

“It was hard for me to get up in the morning. Hard to walk, hard to sleep. I was tormented by shortness of breath, I was constantly suffocating. Tired, overwhelmed, unsure of myself, by the end of the day I just fell and died, ”says the girl. 

Part of what happened to her, Gabrielle blamed her partner: their relationship was not going well. She began to seize stress and setbacks, like many other unfortunate women. In addition, she never had the habit of leading a healthy lifestyle, and there is nowhere to take. 

“Actually, I thought I was eating well. For breakfast, cereal and yogurt are healthy food? Muesli, protein bars, I ate for a snack. Sometimes, however, I diluted them with cookies or chips, ”explains the mother of many children.

But lunch was a nightmare. White bread sandwiches, pies, can soup, lots of bread and dessert. 

“I didn’t try to avoid snacks. Cake? Excellent. Sponge cake for coffee, cake, sausage, which the child has not finished – no questions asked. Gabrielle says she ate so thoughtlessly that she could devour unthinkable amounts of food in a day.

But one day, love for herself and respect for her body woke up in her. The girl realized that she was worthy of care, worthy of investing in herself: taking care of her health, cooking for herself, and not just for children. It would seem simple, but without self-love, even this cannot be done. 

“This is exactly what I called it – not to diet, not to exercise and lose weight, but to love yourself. This helped me avoid the disappointment that you will not see any result instantly, ”Gabriel shares the secret of her relationship with herself. 

And no more secrets happened in her life. She just started to keep track of what and how much she eats. Not everything in a row, and even eat for the children, but strictly six times a day in small portions. Then training appeared. Gabrielle started to run little by little, from a distance of a kilometer. And two years later she ran a marathon. 

“But before it was just hard for me to get up from the floor,” she wonders.

And this despite the fact that Gabrielle has not lost her favorite dishes. She still eats bread, pasta, her favorite desserts. Just not in the same amount as before. 

“I could eat a dessert for the whole family. And then I felt like a bunch of jelly. Now for me cake is a delight. I eat a lot of pasta, bread, vegetables and fruits, they give me energy. But I eat to taste, not to drown out the senses, ”she says. 

Gabriel trains almost every day, but without fanaticism: 5-6 times a week for half an hour. Yes, that’s enough. 

For two years, the girl lost 30 kg and now she does not just feel comfortable in her body. She has much more energy than she had at 22. She did not turn into an ideal fit-baby, but in just two years, working on herself literally from scratch, the mother of five children transformed just amazingly.

“IM proud of myself. I like the way I look. I don’t just accept my body, I love myself to the point of impossibility, – smiles Gabriel. “Consistent work on yourself is what will change your energy level, your weight, your life.”
