The country named where the most salt is eaten

Although we mainly use not many types of salt (mainly four), there are as many as 7 types of it in the world. Dishes with it are tastier, although we know perfectly well that an excess of salt in the body, as well as a deficiency, entails many problems.

The daily salt intake is maximum 5 grams. But there is a country where they eat much more salt.

Queen Mary University of London conducted a study that found that China is the most dangerous country in this sense.

For example, adults in China consume more than 10 grams of salt per day, which is more than double the recommended amount. At the same time, Chinese children aged 3 to 6 years old eat the maximum amount of salt recommended by WHO for adults (5 grams per day), and teenagers – almost 9 grams of salt per day.

What’s more, levels of potassium, which is the opposite of what is found in fruits and vegetables, have been found to be consistently low throughout China over the past 40 years. As well as the consumption of vegetables and fruits by people, at a fairly low level.

The researchers believe that urgent action is needed in China to accelerate the reduction in salt intake and the increase in potassium intake. Scientists are sounding the alarm because high blood pressure in childhood leads to heart disease in adulthood. But an increase in blood pressure is a frequent consequence of excessive salt intake.

Recall that earlier we told you how you can replace salt and at what point during cooking you need to salt dishes.
