Soup-puree or still traditional?

It can be anything. It should be every day. Without it, lunch can not be considered complete. Without it, children “will not grow up”, “will earn gastritis” and in general it is not known who they will become. Without it, even family life can fall apart – if the wife does not know how to cook THEM, then everything is lost. The first – necessary and mandatory-soup!

Суп-пюре или все же традиционный?

Rich or light, transparent or thick, familiar or exotic… What kind of soup do you like? What does your imagination draw when a large spoon catches your eye? The inviting purple depth of borscht with an island of sour cream, the playful pickle with specks of pearl barley and bright carrot cubes, or maybe the incomparably delicate texture of pumpkin soupe a-la creme or the exquisite creaminess of mushroom soup-puree?

In the cold season, soups are especially relevant. They quickly warm up, improve the metabolism, give the body the necessary heat and energy.

It is unlikely that we will see a story in the news about the conflict between adherents of the traditional approach to first courses and fans of soups, although both sides have good reasons for the dispute. For example, the first will argue that the main thing in the soup is to taste each ingredient separately, so that the entire composition in the pan “sounds like a harmonious orchestra”. The latter will answer that only creamy soups can boast of both refinement of taste and ease of assimilation. The first will express the idea of an artistic variety of colors and shapes that create the necessary color in the ensemble of a particular soup. The latter will object that the serving of mashed soup can be no less designer, while noting the sophistication of pastel colors in the plates. The former will put pressure on national traditions, while the latter will give an example of cultural Europe. The first will stand for naturalness and simplicity, the second – for haute cuisine.

Then iron arguments will be used. Not just iron-solid metal. As a vegetable slicer-an innovative and very stylish replacement for a knife, capable of cutting perfect slices, cubes and strips for any soup. Different types of slicing, easy care, convenient storage – your home menu will definitely become more diverse, including in the “Soups” section.

What about the opponents? On their side, the arguments are no less powerful – a multifunctional blender and a compact combine can create the most delicate homogeneous texture from the most intricate combinations, and mashed soups are no exception.

So who is right? Maybe it’s time to express your opinion? Moreover, this is one of the rare cases when you can get something significantly useful and pleasant in all respects for an honest comment. Try it!

And then try to cook something new – maybe it will be a soup with a scattering of vegetables or a rich cream soup.
