Philip Yankovsky was diagnosed with cancer

The actor has already completed several courses of chemotherapy.

Another day began with bad news. It turns out that Philip Yankovsky has been struggling for a year with an oncological disease, which took the life of his father, Oleg Yankovsky, six years ago.

According to SUPER, Philip first complained of health problems in 2009. Then he was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma, but the actor left the treatment. His health worsened in the summer of 2014, and he was hospitalized with a diagnosis of follicular lymphoma IIIA. This disease is accompanied by an asymptomatic course in the early stages, followed by weight loss and fever. As a result, Yankovsky Jr. had to undergo several courses of chemotherapy, after which he recuperated in Israel.

However, despite the health problems, Philip Yankovsky finds the strength and during the period of re-entry he enters the stage of the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov. He also did not leave his film career. The other day in Bucharest, the shooting of the film “Brutus” was completed, where he played one of the main roles together with his wife Oksana Fandera.

And while the fans were sounding the alarm, the site “TVNZ” managed to get through to Philip Olegovich and find out the truth. It turned out that the actor is completely healthy and he never had oncology …

“You know what I can say – thank you for your concern! But this information is already a little outdated, – said Philip Yankovsky. – I have no cancer. I had a hematological disease. And I underwent a course of treatment for a long time. Now I feel great, I work in films, I act in films, I play on stage. To all my fans and those who might be concerned, please convey that I say thank you to everyone and I feel great. Thanks to medicine and God! Don’t forget about that either! “

Recall that Philip’s father, the legend of theater and cinema, Oleg Yankovsky, died of pancreatic cancer in May 2009 at the age of 65. Until the last days, the actor did not leave work and performed on stage. His condition worsened greatly in late 2008, when he lost a lot of weight and was no longer able to cope with stomach pain and nausea with pills. Only then did he undergo an examination, after which he was diagnosed with oncology at the last stage. In January 2019, Oleg Ivanovich was treated in Germany by the famous German oncologist and professor Martin Schuler. But three weeks later he returned to Moscow, believing that therapy was not helping. In February, he returned to the theater and on April 10, 2009, he played his last play, The Marriage.

Currently, other stars of Russian show business are struggling with oncology: 52-year-old opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky is being treated for brain cancer in Britain, and 31-year-old actor Andrei Gaidulyan with Hodgkin’s lymphoma is undergoing therapy in Germany.

In addition, some time ago, Hollywood star of the series “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Charmed” Shannen Doherty told fans that she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
