Hyaluronic acid for the face
Let’s take a look at the steps – what is hyaluronic acid for the face, why women around the world use it, how it affects the skin and body, and whether it is worth using it on yourself

Hyaluronic acid for the face – why is it needed?

The answer is short: because it is an important substance for the body, which is contained in the human body from birth and is responsible for certain of its functions.

And now the answer is long and detailed.

Hyaluronic acid is an essential component of the human body. Its main role is to regulate the water balance of tissues in the body and participate in the synthesis of collagen and elastin:

“In childhood and adolescence, there are no problems with these processes, so the skin looks elastic and even,” explains cosmetologist of the highest qualification category “Clinic of Systemic Medicine” Irina Lisina. – However, over the years, the synthesis of acid is disturbed. As a result, signs of aging appear, such as dry skin and fine wrinkles.

It is easiest to imagine this process using the example of an apple: initially it is smooth and elastic, but if it is left on the table for a while, especially in the sun, the fruit will soon begin to lose water and soon become wrinkled. The same thing happens to the skin with age due to the decrease in hyaluronic acid.

Therefore, dermatologists came up with the idea of introducing it into the skin from the outside. On the one hand, it helps to retain moisture in the skin layers (one hyaluronic acid molecule attracts approximately 700 water molecules). On the other hand, it additionally stimulates the production of its own “hyaluron”.

As a result, the skin looks moisturized, elastic and smooth, without sagging and premature wrinkles.

How to nourish the skin with hyaluronic acid from the outside?

In modern cosmetology, many different methods are used, but fillers (wrinkle fillers), contouring, mesotherapy and biorevitalization are most often used. Read more about these procedures below.

Wrinkle filling

Most often it concerns the nasolabial folds. In this case, hyaluronic acid acts as a filler, or, in other words, a filler – it fills and smoothes wrinkles, due to which the face looks much younger.

However, as Galina Sofinskaya, a cosmetologist at the Institute of Plastic Surgery and Cosmetology, explained in an interview with Healthy Food Near Me, an acid of a higher density is used for such a procedure than, for example, during biorevitalization (see below).

And one more important detail. Dermal fillers (including those with hyaluronic acid) are often confused with Botox injections – and this is a big mistake! According to the permanent consultant of Healthy Food Near Me, an aesthetic surgeon, Ph.D. Lev Sotsky, these two types of injections act on the skin in different ways. This means that they also have a different aesthetic effect: botulinum toxin weakens the facial muscles and thereby smoothes wrinkles – while fillers do not relax anything, but simply fill in the folds and other age-related flaws on the skin.

Volume lips

“Hyaluronka” for lips is a favorite procedure for those who naturally have thin or asymmetrical lips, as well as women of age: due to aging, the synthesis of their own hyaluronic acid in the mouth area slows down, which leads to a loss of volume. One trip to the beautician allows you to return to the former general, and at the same time give the lips a young swelling.

However, do not confuse such injections with plastic surgery and do not expect that with the help of hyaluronic acid you can radically change the shape of the lips. It will certainly change, but not much, and much will depend on the initial data.

In any case, the entire procedure will require 1-2 ml of dense gel, no more. And the final result can be assessed in a period of up to two weeks, when the swelling subsides. The duration of the effect depends on the percentage of the content of the acid itself in the preparation – the denser the filler, the longer the lips retain volume. On average, the effect lasts for 10-15 months.

Contour plastic of cheekbones and cheeks

This procedure is similar to the “filling” of the lips. In this case, the lost volume that occurs with age is also replenished.

And besides, after 50 years, the face begins to “swim”, the cheeks seem to fall down and the face becomes more and more “pancake-like”.

With the help of hyaluronic acid for the face, a skilled cosmetologist will help restore the sharpness of the cheekbones and correct the contour of the cheeks.

biorevitalization

This procedure is a micro-injection with “hyaluron”, which is aimed at moisturizing the skin and stimulating the production of its own acid, collagen and elastin.

Biorevitalization is done all over the face, on the neck, in the décolleté area, on the hands and in places of obvious dehydration.

But as for the area around the eyes, the opinions of cosmetologists differ:

“Many doctors avoid touching this area, I don’t know why,” says Irina Lisina, “this is the most problematic part, and it must be treated without fail.

The hyaluronic acid used in biorevitalization is in the form of a gel solution (it can also be water), which is why you will have a so-called papule that looks like a mosquito bite at each injection site for a couple of days. So get ready that within a few days after going to the salon you will have a bumpy face. But the result is worth it! And beauty requires sacrifice.

Biorevitalization is done in courses of three procedures, after which maintenance therapy is required every 3-4 months.

Mesotherapy

In execution, it is similar to biorevitalization. However, unlike it, not only hyaluronic acid is used for microinjections of mesotherapy, but a whole cocktail of different drugs – vitamins, plant extracts, and so on. The specific “set” depends on the problem to be solved.

On the one hand, mesotherapy is good because at a single appointment with a dermatologist, the skin will receive several useful substances at once, and not just hyaluronic acid. On the other hand, the syringe is not rubber, which means that in one “cocktail” there can be at least several different components, but each one a little bit.

Therefore, if we compare biorevitalization and mesotherapy, then in the first case it is, let’s say, treatment and a quick result, in the second – prevention and a cumulative effect.

By the way

Men are also not alien to modern methods of rejuvenation with the help of hyaluronic acid for the face. Most often, the representatives of the stronger sex resort to the correction of nasolabial folds and wrinkles between the eyebrows. As well as plastic surgery of the cheek-zygomatic zone.

Hyaluronic acid and side effects

In the area of the lips, slight swelling and sometimes bruising is possible, since the blood supply to this area is very intense.

With biorevitalization, get ready for possible tuberosity all over your face for several days.

And for any procedure with the use of hyaluronic acid during the week, you will have to abandon the bath, sauna, facial massages.
