How to make al dente pasta

Al dente pasta is often called an undercooked dish – the pasta in this state retains the elasticity of the dough, but is ready to eat.

Properly cooked al dente pasta will appear slightly lighter on the inside than on the outside. Cook such pasta 2-3 minutes less than you are used to or than indicated on the package. From the first time, such a trick may not work, you need to get used to it and bring out your ideal recipe for undercooked pasta.

Make sure that there is no water left in the pasta after draining the liquid – the pasta tends to cook in hot water on its own.

Cooked al dente pasta contains more vitamins and minerals, as well as coarse fiber that is good for the intestines. They are easier to digest, and the taste is much more pleasant than boiled sticky pasta porridge.
