How to peel citrus fruits

Citrus fruits are very healthy and tasty, but they are so difficult to clean with your hands, especially if there are micro-injuries on your hands after a manicure or cream is applied, or you just don’t want to feel sticky after citrus juice.

In your supermarket you can find tangerines, oranges, grapefruits, lemons, limes, pomelo and kumquat. Tangerines are easy enough to peel – their peel in most varieties easily lags behind the pulp. The rest of the fruits are difficult to peel and sometimes not very pleasant.

You can peel citrus fruits with a sharp knife.

Cut off the citrus caps on both sides with a thickness of a centimeter and a half. Now remove the peel along the edges along the contour of a round shape, without touching the slices – save the peel, because it can be used in tea or made from it candied fruit.

With the second layer, go over the fruit again, cutting off the membranes. Now cut the fruit into slices with your fingers or with a knife.

You can also simply cut the fruit into circles, and then cut the peel of each circle with a knife and unfold the circle into a long straight line – the triangular slices will separate from each other and can be eaten or cut into a salad.
