Problem: overheating of the heating element, its failure.

Decision: 2-4 times a year, treat the inner surfaces of the tank and heating element with acid-containing agents (unless the tank is made of metal with an enamel coating);

once every six months, run an empty car through a full cycle with boiling, putting in the tank “Antinakipin” or 100 g of citric acid.

Prevention: choose washing powders containing water softeners; put a special rubber ball with a built-in magnet in the tank: it changes the crystal structure of calcium and magnesium salts, as a result, these salts do not settle on the internal parts of the machines, the water softens.

Attention: the highly advertised Kalgon is only suitable for very hard water. In Moscow, where the water hardness meets the standards, it can only spoil the rubber parts. In addition, it precipitates itself and forms a hard-to-remove plaque on the heating element.

Plumbing and sanitary ware

Problem: an ugly plaque is formed on the tap, a “path” on the wall of the toilet bowl.

Decision: if the surface is not enameled, wash off the plaque with products containing acid, for example; treat enamel and stainless steel with oxygen gel with fruit acids.

Prevention: softening water using a ring with a magnet, which is placed in the tank.
