How to drip into the nose

Expensive drops will not help to quickly cope with a cold, the main condition here is to be warm. After all, it would seem a frivolous disease, and with constant presence on the street, a runny nose can fall off for a long time and cause sinusitis, sinusitis, otitis media and even polyps.

It is useful to rinse your nose at the first sign of a cold, but this must be done correctly and extremely carefully.

  1. Be sure to tilt your head to one side so that the solution can flow freely into the opposite nasal passage.

  2. When finished rinsing, spit out the solution that got into the nasopharynx, and then blow your nose well.

If you do everything wrong, then the solution can get into the middle ear cavity and provoke otitis media.

A runny nose is not only incessant discharge from the nose, but also its congestion, when you so want to breathe, but it does not work. Vasoconstrictor drops help to relieve swelling, which, by the way, also need to be dripped according to the rules.

Before use, the bottle should be shaken, then, tilting the head slightly forward, close the nostril opposite to the manipulation and inhale slightly when injecting. After that, the nostrils should be changed. Note that the tip is pointing away from the nasal septum.

But the “people’s” doctor Komarovsky has a slightly different algorithm.

  1. Lie down.

  2. Throw back your head.

  3. Dip and lie down for at least 30 seconds.

  4. Then, standing up, pinch both nostrils with your fingers and rotate your head in different directions to effectively distribute the medicine along the nasal passages.

Some doctors advise to float or rub your feet with a runny nose, wear socks with mustard. This, of course, is possible, but not at elevated temperatures.

How not to do in any case

A large number of people do not even think about how they drip into the nose, not realizing that by wrong actions they harm their health. This procedure is simple, experience and special skills are not required. Do it right once and you will see the result.

If the drug enters the mouth when instilled into the nose, it means that you did something wrong. And most likely, they threw their head back, and even got into the septum instead of the nasal passage. The septum is cartilage with veins; if the solution is dripping incorrectly all the time, you can provoke its deformation.

There are supporters of refusal to treat the common cold, confident that everything will pass by itself. Such neglect of one’s health can lead to a chronic illness that will have to be treated in the hospital.

Be careful not to get sick.
