How to detox after a holiday

New Year’s festive feasts affect our appearance and health. It’s so hard to resist not to try a delicious dish! A plentiful snack accompanied by alcohol gives extra volume to the body and stress on the internal organs. How to properly cleanse the body and give it a break after a long culinary load?

The purpose of detox diets is to cleanse the body of toxins. During this period, it is important to “nourish” with vitamins, the right liquid and put your figure in order with the help of sports. The result is a rested body, good spirits and well-coordinated work of all internal organs.

There are many options for detox cleansing: fasting, detox with water, and with juices, veganism, raw food diet. You should choose your method after consulting a doctor, taking into account the state of health, the presence of chronic diseases, and so on.

Complete fasting and detoxification with water – the fastest ways to put the body in order, but this method has much more contraindications. It is contraindicated to carry out such a cleansing in the presence of a number of diseases, as well as for pregnant women.

Detox with juices should be based on calculated schemes, only then will it be effective. During the day, you can only eat vegetable or fruit juices.

Raw Detox designed for a long period – a month during which you should eat only vegetables and fruits without any heat treatment.

Veganism – the safest way of cleansing, as it provides the body with all useful substances and vitamins and excludes harmful heavy food.

Detox rules

  • Take the process for at least a month so that such nutrition is not stressful for the body.
  • Get in and out of detox gradually, avoiding food spikes.
  • Drink plenty of pure water – 30 ml per 1 kg of body weight. Lemon can be added to the water, it invigorates and improves metabolism.
  • Make sure your meals are balanced – grains, fruits, berries, dried fruits, dairy products, protein, vegetable fats and vegetables.
  • Avoid salt and sugar, even honey.
  • Take food very fractionally – every 3-4 hours. Make sure that there are no long breaks, otherwise in a fit of hunger it is easy to disrupt the amount of food consumed.
