How to cook beets quickly
 

Boiled beets are useful for many popular dishes, however, not everyone likes to bother with boiling beets. In fact, the cooking time can be shortened from a few hours to 10-30 minutes. How to do it?

Method 1. Boil the beets for half an hour, and then place them under running cold water. From a sharp temperature drop, the beets will come to readiness, and it will be much easier to peel such a vegetable.

Method 2. Microwave the beets – the beets will be much sweeter and retain more vitamins. Beets are baked in this way for 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the size.

Wash the beets, pierce them with a fork in several places, put them in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with a lid. Cut large beets into pieces. Cook the beets in the microwave at full power for 7-10 minutes, check for readiness by piercing with a fork, and if not ready, return them back for another 5 minutes.
