How to clean an aluminum pan

Aluminum cookware is still popular with housewives – it warms up evenly, is durable and reliable. Plus it is very light in weight compared to other materials. A big minus – very quickly aluminum dishes fade and become stained. Regular cleaning with products does not work, and hard sponges will scratch the surface.

Aluminum pans should not be washed hot, otherwise they will deform. If food is burnt to the pan, soak it with detergent, but do not peel it off with iron brushes. After soaking, wash the pan in soapy water by hand, as the high temperature of the dishwasher will damage the dishes.

The dark surface of the pan is cleaned like this: take 4 tablespoons of vinegar and dissolve in a liter of water. Soak a soft sponge in the solution and rub the aluminum, then rinse the pan with cold water and pat dry.

You can also dissolve tartar, vinegar, or lemon juice in hot water and pour into an aluminum bowl. Put the saucepan on fire and bring to a boil, simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Rinse the pan with water and wipe dry again.
