To get rid of dried-on dirt, simply fill a tub of water and add a dash of any liquid detergent to it. When the dirt is slightly soaked, you can easily remove it with a soft cloth. If you need to remove more serious dirt, such as rust, proceed as follows.

• Fill the bathtub to the top with warm water. The temperature should be within 30 degrees.

• Squeeze the juice of a whole lemon into the water. If you don’t have a lemon on hand, add a quarter cup of vinegar.

• This solution should be left for 12 hours. Ideally, the water should be kept warm all this time, but if this is not possible, it does not matter.

• After the specified time, drain the water and thoroughly rinse the acrylic surface with cold water.

• Dry the bathtub.

A more radical method involves the use of baking soda, vinegar, and bleach. First you need to apply a mixture of 2 tbsp to the surface. l. baking soda and 2 tbsp. l. soda ash. After 10 minutes, apply a mixture of 50 g of vinegar and 50 g of bleach on top of the baking soda. After half an hour, all products must be thoroughly washed off with warm water.

And if you need to remove small specks, generously smear them with toothpaste. After 10 minutes, when you wash off the paste, the stains will be gone.

Proper care of an acrylic bath

To keep cleaning to a minimum, it is important to constantly monitor and maintain your bathtub. After each bath, wipe the acrylic surface with a soft sponge and a liquid detergent (such as shower gel or liquid soap). Then wipe the entire surface dry with a dry cloth. Do a general wash every two weeks. To do this, leave the detergent on the acrylic surface for 10-15 minutes.

The right way to clean your bathtub will help it last a really long time. The main thing is not to run the problem. Fresh dirt is much easier to remove than old dirt.
