History of the Hiroshima cocktail

The Hiroshima cocktail (atomic explosion) is perhaps the most famous cocktail in the world, invented in Russia.

This “nuclear explosion” was created quite recently in one of the Moscow nightclubs under the influence of the growing popularity of the B-52 cocktail, which is a bit similar to Hiroshima both in composition and in its effect on the body.

In fact, the main difference from the B-52 is the replacement of Kalua liquor with sambuca.

Hiroshima cocktail refers to the so-called short drinks – cocktails that are drunk in one gulp.

Due to the fact that its ingredients do not mix and are arranged in a stack in layers, it got its name.

The colors of sambuca, baileys and absinthe shade each other so much that a glass of cocktail resembles a nuclear mushroom.

Hiroshima is one of only two cities in Japan to be nuked, hence the name of the cocktail.
