Food delivery: 28% couriers try our booking

Studies conducted in the United States, are shocking: according to them, the couriers often eat ordered food says the research company, US Foods.

Company, US Foods, American public power distributor, interviewed more than 1,500 providers that implement the application for food delivery, UberEats including, Grubhub, DoorDash and Postmates. And the result of this survey it became known that about 28% of those who supply us the ordered food, admitted that they ate part of it.

Of course, the study refers to United States, however, it is possible to suspect that in other countries, food suppliers have the same temptations and behaviors.

And what about the customers? They are understandably unhappy with the prospect that the courier, for example, ate some of their fries. The researchers decided to see how dissatisfied customers are. They were asked to rate the degree of their dissatisfaction on a scale from 1 (nothing) to 10 (“completely unacceptable”). So, the average response was 8.4 points.

But almost 9 out of 10 people also said that they would like restaurants to use seals-labels that prevent such practices, and they wanted to have their food delivered to them in one piece.

Experts explain that the temptation to eat it can be difficult to control, especially when it is in our hands. This may explain the 28% thieves among  couriers. “We regret to inform you that sometimes the impulse is stronger and this causes couriers to violate their sacred duty, taking some of the food” – summed up the result of the study Director, US Foods.

Couriers often explain their “antics” because they get too small tips or not getting them at all.
