Description:

The cap is 10-15 cm in diameter, ovoid when young, then procumbent, light yellow-brown to dark brown, darker towards the center and lighter along the edge. The edge is striped, furrowed in old fruiting bodies. The young fruiting body is covered with a thick, ash-gray volva, which breaks up into large warts with age, then collapses.

Plates are light.

Leg 12-25 cm high, 1,5-3 cm in diameter, at first light yellow-brown or light pink, then light gray, zonal, with ash-gray annular remains of Volvo in the lower part, darkening when pressed.

Spread:

Amanita Sicilian grows in deciduous and broad-leaved forests, parks, on heavy clay soils, is rare. Known in central Europe from the British Isles to Ukraine (right-bank woodland), in Transcaucasia, Eastern Siberia (Yakutia), the Far East (Primorsky Territory), North America (USA, Mexico) and South America (Colombia).

It is easily distinguished from other fly agarics by the absence of a ring.
