    Step 1:

Fold your cardboard sheet in half.

Trace with black felt the outlines of the two right wings of your butterfly.

  • /

    Step 2:

Cut out the lines, keeping your sheet folded up.

You will then obtain the complete shape of your butterfly.

  • /

    Step 3:

Cut the top end of your straw down to the flexible tip.

To represent the antennae of your butterfly, then cut the flexible part in half, lengthwise.

  • /

    Step 4:

Place your straw in the center of the butterfly and cut the part that protrudes.

Secure it with a bead of glue.

  • /

    Step 5:

Thread a thin ribbon through a large bead and knot one end of the ribbon.

Then pass your ribbon inside the straw to bring it out at the level of the antennae of your butterfly.

  • /

    Step 6:

Make way for decoration! Let your imagination run wild by sticking, for example, shiny sequins, pearls, and why not sequins! If you prefer, you can also draw pretty patterns on the wings …

  • /

    Step 7:

Now all you have to do is hang your butterfly on the wall using the ribbon. For a little touch of color and good humor!
