The simplest and at the same time the most popular syrup is the one prepared on the basis of onion. How to make onion syrup? Lots of ways and variations. A commonly used one is the one that says to cut the vegetable into strips or small pieces, sprinkle them with a few spoons of sugar and wait until the onion releases its juice. Then strain the juice and drink a spoonful every few hours. Such a recipe can be enriched by adding honey or garlic to the onion. Onion syrup is especially helpful with dry cough, sore throat, troublesome runny nose.

Healthy cough mixture – ginger, honey and lemon

It is also effective in fighting cough ginger, honey and lemon syrup. The mixture prepared from such ingredients has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, warming and strengthening properties thanks to the presence of vitamin C. Preparation of such a syrup is very simple, just fill a small jar with honey up to 3/4 of the height of the vessel, then add sliced ​​onion and ginger chopped into small pieces. Such a mix should be mixed, left for a few hours, and then drunk, treating it either as a separate infusion or as an addition to tea. The drink made in this way will be a very good syrup for a sore throat.

After that, all that’s left is to consume thyme syrup – one tablespoon several times a day. It works well in relieving cough symptoms in both children and adults.

Another cough syrup is clove infusion. It is prepared by combining honey placed in a jar with a few cloves. The mixture should be mixed, kneaded and left overnight. The drink prepared in this way should be dosed, taking one teaspoon a day. Facilitates expectoration of secretions, reduces hoarseness.
