How does the Biochef juice extractor work?

Not knowing this device at all, I took the time to analyze its operation a little before starting. If a few instructions accompany the machine, it seemed important to me to see what it had more than a simple juicer.

A first point caught my attention: this extractor does not require any preparation of the food that will be introduced into it. It suffices to place the fruits and vegetables in them as they are before starting the grinding.

5 minutes is more than enough to extract their juice, whatever their density! This device would be a wise choice to save time, and the automatic cleaning function confirms that first impression.

The blending session was quieter than I expected: no residue flying all over the place, no juice flowing through… Not bad for a start! I notice that the device is multifunction, and that it can also be used to extract the juice of several kinds of nuts, like a whole range of foods besides.

At first, I still wonder if this extractor will be able to go the distance on daily use, because the multiplicity of filters lets me think that its use will not be limited to juice for people in a hurry.

If the solidity of the model is certified, I notice that it does not heat up with use; which is usually a proof of resistance.

Let’s find out what he’s got under the hood!

Interesting technical characteristics

Knowing the specifics of a juice extractor is always useful to know what it allows you to do and what not. For Biochef’s flagship model, it is the dimensions and the type of extraction that give it its little extra.

Equipped with a unique worm screw, it uses cold pressure to grind the ingredients. Its plug records 40 revolutions per minute thanks to a single-phase induction motor, and a weight of nearly 7 kilos for a width of 16 cm, a height of 45 cm, and a depth of 21 cm. A compact instrument, but whose parts can easily be detached for easy storage. Its real asset?

Its 8 cm feeding mouth which allows you to place food without you necessarily having to pre-cut it.

An envelope design

As for its design, it remains quite simple. A rather austere chrome appearance, sorb and mat colors… the Biochef juice extractor can surprise you with its height.

The buttons are in ideal places for intuitive use, and the whole gives the impression of having been designed so that the hands instinctively find their place during the extraction process.

This model would be a good acquisition for the clumsy who would like to be careful not to splash their kitchen while making their juice.

Impressive durability

The question of durability is an essential point on an extractor, as on any other household appliance that I would like to keep as long as possible.

With a 5-year parts warranty and a lifetime engine warranty, the device offers features that will appeal to a majority of users. I was also impressed by its efficiency and speed in mixing food.

In the long run, this model from Biochef could be a good investment if you don’t plan to put money in another machine for a while. Its durability seems assured … provided it is properly maintained.

Top functions

Its 250W of power far exceed that of other models that I have been able to test so far. Its functions can thus extend to the manufacture of pasta or vegetable milk. Moreover, making homemade peanut butter is also an option!

I’ve also used it to cut garlic, chop onions, grind my coffee, refine my herbs, and it does everything perfectly… well almost! I did have a moment of panic while trying to make a smoothie… before realizing that I had simply not met the maximum amounts for use.

For a first use, I highly recommend seeing tutorials like this one to help you understand how it works.

Getting started is not always easy

If the location of the keys is almost perfect, we must recognize that taming the beast will not really be a piece of cake. You may need a few tries before you get really comfortable with this machine.

The problems you may encounter with this extractor are in the installation of the components. Easy to disassemble, you will need to have a hand to put everything in the right place.

It can be tiring, and you might have a legitimate fear of breaking something. Fortunately for me, I could see that all the elements have good resistance, and are not afraid of dry handling. Be careful not to go too hard so as not to damage something!

Advantages and disadvantages of the Biochef juice extractor

This model is undoubtedly one of those which gave me the most surprises! I readily admit that it has a number of advantages that may appeal:

Advantages

  • The large opening of its mouth which facilitates the introduction of large ingredients
  • Its great speed which saves time and obtains the maximum amount of juice without altering the taste of food
  • The function panel which gives the possibility of diverting the use of this extractor and making it a dynamic and efficient blender
  • A silent function that limits the sound discomfort generally associated with this type of device
  • The presence of a manual rich in detail which will facilitate the handling

The inconvenients

  • The difficulty of getting started, which may require viewing complete tutorials
  • The difficulty of installing components for those new to the device

What do users think?

User reviews of the Biochef juice extractor are rather positive. It must be said that the strengths of this little beast do not leave indifferent, and that both individuals and professional testers agree on its effectiveness.

The element that can divide: its design which balances between innovation and classic, and which does not necessarily please the greatest number. The lack of noise, like its ability to adapt to recipes, is a hit.

The brand’s small commercial gesture of including a cookbook is also noticed and appreciated. For users, the Biochef juice extractor has become a small benchmark in the kitchen. Many believe that the investment will prevent them from placing money in conventional blenders.

The list of competitors for the Biochef extractor is long. However, I retain two articles that you can find on Amazon, and which are worth seeing.

Panasonic Extractor (MJ-L500SXE)

Thanks to its slow rotation, it promises to extract twice as much juice as competing devices. This model is a good alternative to the Biochef extractor if you want to invest in a device that fully preserves the nutritional qualities of food. Effective and efficient, it is also guaranteed without Bisphenol A.

What you must remember

For me, the Biochef juice extractor is a good model which can satisfy the most demanding. Its speed of execution, its efficiency, as well as the rotation technology used are excellent points which give real added value to this device.

Ideal for its multifunction, I gladly recommend it to replace the mixers that you will accumulate in your kitchen. The automatic cleaning is also a major asset that facilitates its maintenance, and thanks to which you will no longer waste time scrubbing every nook and cranny to make sure that the small pieces will not accelerate its wear.

Easily categorized as high-end, the Biochef juice extractor is above all a device that will find its place in everyday use. If making juices of all kinds only takes a few minutes, it will also be a great ally in composing simple, quick and varied menus.

Despite a few flaws that cannot be ignored, this model is doing very well and attracting the sympathy of users who see it as the initiator of a small revolution in their kitchen.
