8 traits of «silent winners»

There are people who achieve incredible success and change society for the better. At the same time, passing them on the street, you would never guess that they are special. Unlike popular coaches and bloggers, «silent winners» do not shout about their achievements at every corner. Let’s look at other qualities that they possess.

1. They understand that they can’t excel at everything.

A dizzying career, a rich social life, conscious parenthood, happiness in love — such people are well aware that few people manage to be successful in all areas at once.

Investing in a career, they understand that their personal life is likely to “sink”, and they are mentally prepared for this. Success in their minds is clearly linked to the need to make concessions.

2. They don’t try to look like winners.

At least because it’s tiring — all these endless speeches, interviews, participation in podcasts and TV shows. Such people spend their time and energy wisely. They say that happiness loves silence. For such people, their success loves silence.

3. They ask more than they answer

It is simply boring for them to talk a lot and express their authoritative opinion in most cases. And besides, it’s almost impossible to learn anything. It is much more interesting and useful to ask questions, learn something new, get food for thought and fuel for new ideas (those that will lead to the next “quiet success”).

4. They don’t downplay other people’s accomplishments.

Rather, on the contrary: they themselves do not like to be in the spotlight and allow others to break the applause, as well as receive attention and praise. That is why it is so pleasant to work with them, that is why many people aspire to be on their team.

5. They are not afraid to laugh at themselves.

«Silent winners» are well aware that it is simply impossible to always be on a horse. They are not afraid to get their «white coat» dirty and easily admit to mistakes. This allows them to melt the ice in relationships with other people, which in itself is extremely valuable.

6. They don’t flaunt what makes them successful.

The number of years in business, the number of employees, the amount in the account, the amount of investments attracted — it is quite likely that you will never know all this from a conversation with a “silent winner”. His goal is to continue to put his soul into his work, because sooner or later something will come of it.

7. They dress quite casually.

Such a person is unlikely to stand out from the crowd — primarily because he does not want to. The «silent winners» usually don’t wear overly flashy or outrageously expensive clothes—nothing that suggests their level of income. They don’t need «status» watches: they have a phone to know the time.

8. They avoid publicity

Glory is a nightmare for them, and they would never exchange their ability to calmly leave the house for shopping or play with children on the playground for anything. They like their quiet, calm ordinary life.

So why are they so successful?

Finding an answer to this question is not easy — if only because, as we have already found out, these people avoid publicity at all costs and do not give interviews about what led them to success. But we can assume that the fact is that they like doing their job more than getting recognition. They really care and are interested in what they are doing. This they can learn from.

Success is not in public attention, but in doing work with soul and interest. In doing so, the “silent winners” change the world for the better day after day, although we usually don’t even notice it. Are there such people around you?
