10 simple and delicious chicken breast dishes

Chicken breast is a favorite meat product of many families. The fillet is prepared quickly, is inexpensive and lends itself to variations. The cooked product is eaten by those who follow the figure, some just fry the chicken, and the more inventive make crispy nuggets. But that’s not all you can think of! 

Today we will share original and simple recipes based on chicken breast. Choose a recipe to your taste and be guided by the case. Curry and fillet salad are great for a light dinner, schnitzel and cutlets will be good for lunch. And use a sandwich or a homemade shawarma as a whisk.

Chicken Schnitzel

Usually delicious thin schnitzel is made from veal, but sometimes it is replaced with pork or turkey. We offer you an equally delicious version of chicken breast!

Ingredients:

  • chicken breast-400 g
  • chicken eggs — 2 pcs.
  • wheat flour — 60 g
  • breadcrumbs — 50 g
  • vegetable oil — 3 tbsp.
  • lemon or lime-for serving
  • salt — to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Cut the chicken fillet into oblong slices 1.5 cm wide. Beat off both sides.
  2. In a deep bowl, whisk the eggs. In one flat plate, mix the flour with salt and pepper, in the other pour the breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil. Dip the chop first in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture. Roll in breadcrumbs and place in a pan. Do the same with the rest of the chops.
  4. Fry the meat for 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. To remove excess fat, place the finished schnitzels on a paper towel.
  6. Serve the dish with a slice of lime or lemon!

Chicken roll with spinach and cheese

The breast baked in the oven can turn out quite juicy if you add a suitable filling to it.

Ingredients:

  • chicken breast-500 g
  • onion – 1 pc.
  • spinach — 120 g
  • hard cheese — 70 g
  • olive oil — 2 tbsp.
  • salt — to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Cut the onion into cubes and fry in vegetable oil until golden. 
  2. Pick the spinach, wash and dry it. Slice randomly and place in a pan with the onion. Simmer for 1 minute and immediately remove from heat.
  3. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Mix with the onion and spinach. Season the filling with salt and pepper.
  4. Make a longitudinal incision on the chicken fillet and open the meat like a book. Well beat off the formed layer to a thickness of 5 mm. Season with spices to taste. Do the same with the remaining meat.
  5. Put a layer of filling on the fillet. Roll into a tight roll and tie with cooking thread. Brush the meat with olive oil. 
  6. Bake the chicken roll at 190°C for 25 minutes.
  7. Serve the dish hot or cold, sliced into pieces. 

Tender chicken cutlets

Cutlets from chopped meat will turn out juicier if you add onions or finely chopped bell pepper to them. Also, you can put a little hard cheese in the minced meat, grated on a coarse grater.

Ingredients:

  • chicken breast-400 g
  • chicken eggs — 1 pc.
  • onion – 1 pc.
  • flour — 2 tbsp.
  • sour cream — 2 tbsp.
  • vegetable oil — 2 tbsp.
  • salt — to taste
  • paprika — to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Cut the prepared chicken fillet into small 1×1 cm pieces.
  2. Chop the onion and add it to the meat. Send the beaten egg there as well.
  3. Season the minced meat with sour cream, do not forget about flour and spices. Mix everything thoroughly.
  4. From the resulting mass, you can already fry the cutlets. But it is better to put the minced meat in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour — after cooling, it will be more convenient to work with it.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Spoon out the minced meat, forming the cutlets. Fry for 3 minutes on each side, until golden. 
  6. Serve with a side dish of vegetables!

     

Indian Chicken Curry

Curry with tomatoes and lots of spices will be appreciated by lovers of spicy spicy dishes!

Ingredients:

  • chicken fillet-500 g
  • coconut milk — 200 ml
  • tomatoes — 2 pcs.
  • onion – 1 pc.
  • vegetable oil — 3 tbsp.
  • garlic — 3 cloves
  • chili pepper-1 pc.
  • curry seasoning-1 tbsp. 
  • greens — to taste
  • salt — to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Add the curry seasoning and mix with a spatula. Keep on the fire for a few minutes to allow the spices to open.
  2. Meanwhile, cut the chicken into small slices, chop the onion and put everything in the pan. Fry over high heat.
  3. Blanch the tomatoes and finely chop them, send them to the fire. While stirring, simmer the contents of the pan for a few minutes.
  4. Chop the chili pepper and garlic and put them in a frying pan. 
  5. Add salt to the dish to taste and pour in the coconut milk. Cook under the lid for a couple of minutes, then stir and leave the dish in the pan under the lid for 15 minutes.
  6. We recommend serving a spicy curry with rice, garnished with herbs.

Homemade shawarma with chicken

Passing by another stall on the street, you want to be tempted by the smell of shawarma and afford a popular street food. But a home-cooked dish will be much tastier and healthier!

Ingredients:

Main:

  • chicken breast-300 g
  • thin lavash — 1 layer
  • lettuce leaves-1 bunch
  • tomatoes — 1 pc.
  • cucumbers — 1 pc.
  • vegetable oil — 1 tbsp.
  • salt — to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper — to taste

For the sauce:

  • sour cream — 150 ml
  • cheese — 40 g
  • garlic — 2 cloves
  • lemon juice — 2 tsp.
  • greens — to taste
  • salt — to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Prepare the sauce. Add chopped garlic and herbs, grated cheese, lemon juice and spices to the sour cream. Mix well.
  2. Cut the chicken fillet into oblong slices and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Cut the cucumber into thin strips, and the tomatoes into larger pieces.
  4. Cut each layer of pita bread across into 2 parts. 
  5. Put the lettuce leaves on the pita bread, followed by the chicken breast, sauce and vegetables. Roll into a tight roll. Do the same with the remaining ingredients. 
  6. Cut each roll into 2 parts, making an oblique incision in the middle. In a frying pan without oil, dry on both sides. 
  7. Serve hot!

Salad with chicken breast and radish

This simple recipe will be a lifesaver for a summer or spring dinner. Save it!

Ingredients:

Main:

  • chicken breast-200 g
  • cherry tomatoes-10 pcs.
  • radish — 5 pcs.
  • spinach-1 handful
  • arugula — 1 handful
  • turmeric — to taste
  • salt — to taste

For refueling:

  • olive oil — 2 tbsp.
  • grainy mustard — 1 tbsp.
  • liquid honey — 1 tbsp.
  • garlic — 1 clove
  • balsamic vinegar — 1 tbsp.
  • salt — to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Prepare the dressing. Mix all the liquid ingredients with the crushed garlic and spices. Bring to a homogeneous state.
  2. Rub the chicken breast with spices. Fry in vegetable oil under a press on both sides. 
  3. Cut the finished breast into small pieces.
  4. Prepare the vegetables and herbs. Wash and dry. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half, and cut the radishes into thin slices.
  5. In a deep bowl, put the greens, tomatoes, radishes and chicken on it. Generously pour the honey-mustard dressing over the salad. Serve it to the table!

Grilled breast with chimichurri sauce

This dish can be prepared in the country or at home with the help of a grill pan.

Ingredients:

Main: 

  • chicken breast-400 g
  • olive oil — 1 tbsp.
  • spices — to taste

For the chimichurri sauce:

  • parsley — 50 g
  • coriander — 20 g
  • garlic — 4 cloves
  • red onion – ½ pc.
  • lemon juice — 2 tbsp.
  • olive oil — 100 ml
  • red wine vinegar-1 tbsp.
  • oregano – ½ tsp.
  • chili pepper-1 pc.
  • salt — to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Prepare the sauce. In a blender, chop the herbs, garlic, and onion. Add the finely chopped chili pepper, lemon juice, olive oil, wine vinegar and all the spices. Mix well. Let the sauce simmer.
  2. Brush the chicken breast with a mixture of olive oil and spices and grill on both sides until tender.
  3. Serve the breast, generously flavored with chimichurri sauce! By the way, this topping is suitable for any meat. Serve it with shish kebab or steaks. 

Chicken and avocado Sandwich

Such a hearty sandwich can be served for breakfast, take with you to nature or have a snack at school. The main thing is to pack the product well in foil.

Ingredients:

  • chicken breast-150 g
  • rye bread — 4 slices
  • lettuce leaves-6-8 pcs.
  • tomatoes — 2 pcs.
  • bacon — 80 g
  • avocado — 1 pc.
  • red onion – ¼ pc.
  • olive oil — 1 tbsp.
  • lemon juice-to taste
  • salt — to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Cut the chicken breast into flat pieces, fry in vegetable oil with spices.
  2. Fry the bacon, too, until crisp but soft.
  3. Dry the bread in a toaster or in a frying pan. 
  4. Peel the avocado, remove the bone. Cut the fruit crosswise into thin slices. Sprinkle with lemon juice so that the fruit does not darken.
  5. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Cut the tomatoes into circles, and the red onion into rings.
  6. Assemble the sandwich. Place the lettuce leaf on the bread, then the bacon, red onion rings, tomatoes, chicken breast, avocado, and lettuce leaves again. Press lightly on the top of the resulting product and cut into two parts.
  7. Pack your sandwiches and eat them on the same day! 

Chicken tikka masala

We offer you to prepare another popular dish of Indian cuisine. But we must warn you that you will need a lot of spices to implement it!

Ingredients:

  • chicken fillet-500 g
  • cream 33-35% – 150 ml
  • natural yogurt — 200 ml
  • tomatoes in their own juice — 1 can
  • red onion — 1 pc.
  • garlic — 3 cloves
  • lemon juice — 2 tsp.
  • olive oil — 3 tbsp.
  • sugar — 1 tbsp.
  • ginger root-a piece of 2 cm in size
  • garam masala — 1 tbsp.
  • turmeric — 1 tsp.
  • red paprika — 2 tsp.
  • cumin — 2 tsp.
  • coriander — 1 tsp.
  • greens — to taste
  • salt — to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Cut the chicken into small pieces. Roll the meat in a mixture of cumin, coriander and salt. Put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.
  2. Grate the ginger, chop the red onion, and pass the garlic through the press.
  3. Add ginger, garlic, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the natural yogurt and mix. Then combine this mixture with the chicken.
  4. Mix the remaining spices: turmeric, paprika, garam masala and add sugar to them. Pour in the lemon juice.
  5. Fry the onion in olive oil, add the spices, supplemented with lemon juice,and mix. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Put the tomatoes in their own juice in the pan and simmer for 5 minutes under the lid.
  7. In another pan, fry the chicken in the marinade. Then transfer it to the tomatoes, pour in the cream and cook for 7 minutes, sometimes opening the lid and stirring.
  8. Turn off the heat, taste the aroma and serve chicken tikka masala with rice, garnished with herbs!

Chicken fillet in mushroom sauce

This dish will go well with pasta. 

Ingredients:

  • chicken breast-500 g
  • champignons — 200 g
  • onion – 1 pc.
  • chicken broth-200 ml
  • cream 33-35% – 150 ml
  • flour — 1 tbsp.
  • olive oil — 2 tbsp.
  • salt — to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Brush the chicken breast with oil and spices and fry in a pan until golden brown on both sides. The center can be left raw, then we will bake the dish.
  2. Cut the mushrooms into slices, chop the onion. Fry everything until golden brown in olive oil.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and cream, and add the flour. Stir and simmer under the lid for 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. In a baking dish, put the chicken fillet and pour all the creamy mushroom sauce. 
  5. Cook the dish in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C. If desired, you can add cheese. Bon Appetit!
