How did you get into sports: I have been friends with sports since childhood! How did you get into sports: My dad was a military man and also a boxing champion of Ukraine, so I had no other alternative. Until the age of 12, he was engaged in athletics. At the age of 12, my dad sent me to boxing in the “House of Officers”. This is how my boxing story began. He entered the ring for the first time at the age of 14 and won! Then I tried myself in karate, but I realized that it was not mine. I didn’t like kickboxing either. Then I was advised to take a low kick. I got acquainted with real Thai boxing in a professional club in Volgograd. By that time, I had had quite a few low kick fights and had achieved stretching thanks to my Taijiquan training. In 1997 I came to Thailand for the first time in the sports camp “Lumpen Park”. He lived in Thailand for a year and a half and gained experience as a fighter and as a coach. In 2004 I brought Thai boxing to Voronezh. I am the founder of Muay Thai in the capital of the Black Earth Region. Thanks to our considerable efforts in 2009, the Voronezh Region Muay Thai Federation appeared in Voronezh. In addition to the adult club, we also have a Muay Thai kids club. Ramona Dekkers.
