What to remember when choosing a kiwi

Kiwi is one of the healthiest fruits around. This fruit contains a large amount of vitamin C, in addition, the use of kiwi helps to eliminate nitrates and excess cholesterol from the body.

But along with good fruits, there are also those that are no longer suitable for food. How not to be mistaken with the choice?

1. The skin of a kiwi is always thin and covered with small fibers (several varieties of smooth, lint-free kiwi are considered an exception, but they appear on sale very rarely)

2. Do not take berries with mold stains, dark places, these are signs that the product has already begun to deteriorate.

3. If you plan to eat kiwi right away, you can buy a soft fruit, it will be ripe and sweet. But if the kiwi has to wait for its due date on the festive table, then it is better to buy solid berries.

4. Skin color can be from green to almost brown

5. Ripe kiwi is always resilient (pressing it does not leave dents, but at the same time it does not resemble a stone). Just in case, lightly press on the stem of the fruit. Moisture should not be released from under your hand, otherwise you are dealing with a spoiled or overripe specimen.

6. The aroma of kiwi is fruity, but not pungent (the smell is felt through the skin and intensifies in the area of the stalk). Connect your sense of smell: if the kiwi exudes a wine aroma, this is already a symptom of spoilage.
