What is granola and how to cook it correctly

Granola is a blend of healthy grains, dried fruits, nuts, spices and natural syrups. The main ingredients of granola: rolled oatmeal (oatmeal), nuts, dried fruits, candied fruits, berries, seeds, honey. This mixture is prepared as follows: the gralola is dried in the oven, the result is a crunchy crumbly product, which, among other things, can be stored for quite a long time.

How granola differs from muesli

Both are a mixture of cereals, nuts and dried fruits, that’s just

  • muesli is just a mix of nuts and flakes,
  • and granola – passed additional stages baking, and then it was mixed with chocolate, selected hazelnuts and other delicious ingredients in the correct proportions.

Muesli consists of raw flakes, they can be eaten with milk or yogurt, and granola, if desired, is also easy to snack on and just like that.

Muesli quite often put a large amount of sugar, and often in the composition you can find nuts fried in oil, and wheat flour, and starch, which increases the calorie content of the dish. While granola is prepared with honey or syrup, much less often with butter.

Granola is more nutritious. Muesli is a lot of cereal and not too much dried fruit and nuts added more for flavor. In gralola, half is accounted for by additional components – nuts, berries. Due to this, the properties of the product also change.

You bought granola: how to make it
