Wax depilation at home: instructions

Step 1. Choosing a wax melter
The first thing to start with is buying a wax melter – a special device that heats wax to the desired temperature. Of the two types of wax melters (cassette or in the form of a lamp), Woman’s Day recommends a mobile cartridge heater. In size, it is slightly larger than an electric depilator: a special cassette with wax is inserted inside. The device has a roller that applies wax – no spatula or sticky hands. Voskoplav is extremely compact, it can easily fit into a handbag. A full cassette with wax is heated in the heater for an average of 15–20 minutes. If you, like us, prefer a mobile heater-applicator, then you will need wax in cartridges. Look for wax in cartridges in professional cosmetics stores. The wax is presented in a variety of variations – chocolate, strawberry, banana … When buying, you must take into account two important points: firstly, each wax is intended for certain zones – common and sensitive. And secondly, each of the cassettes has different rollers – wide and narrow – in case you need to apply wax to a narrow area, such as, for example, above the lip.

Chintz adheres best to wax, so that all hairs are removed well, and there is no sticky layer on the skin.
Step 4. Choosing the means “before” and “after”
Before depilation, the most basic and important thing is to apply talcum powder with menthol. It creates a protective layer between the skin and the wax, removes moisture and grease residues, and has a slight cooling and anesthetic effect.
The main task after depilation is to remove wax residues that will somehow be present on the skin. This task can be easily handled by flower oil after depilation. Also, you can additionally apply a special emulsion to the skin that slows down hair growth, as well as products with a pantheon, but first of all, you need to get rid of excess wax.
In total, to buy a complete set for wax depilation at home, you need to spend about 3000-3500 thousand rubles. However, subsequently, full depilation of the legs (with hips), translated into the cost price, will cost you 80 rubles without leaving home, while in the salon you will have to pay from 1000 rubles for it.
