Veggie recipe: Agar-agar candies

As we know, children (and older ones) love candy. So, to crack without feeling too guilty because of the dyes, preservatives, gelling agents and other additives present in traditional candies, if you tried to make it yourself?

Here, we chose simple ingredients like pear juice, sugar and Agar-agar, the famous little seaweed-based powder that acts as a super gelling agent. We have also opted for organic products.

The recipe is quick, and we can involve the children.

    Confined recipe: Agar-agar candies

    Simple ingredients: pear juice, sugar, Agar-agar

    150 ml pear juice (100% pure juice)

    1,5 g of Agar-agar

    30g brown cane sugar (optional)

    Step 1

    Pour the pear juice and Agar-agar into a salad bowl.

    Mix the pear juice and Agar-agar powder well and pour everything into a saucepan. Put on low heat and bring to a boil while stirring. Add the sugar. It is optional, but for a rendering close to candy, it is better to put a little. Then, wait for the boil again.

    Pour the preparation into small molds. Place in the refrigerator for 3 hours for the mixture to solidify.

    Unmold the candies and leave them at room temperature before tasting them.

    When taken out of the refrigerator, the candies appear very hard. Before eating them, you have to wait a bit, the time that they take a more pleasant texture. Come on, all that remains is to feast.
