Turkey fillet with vegetables: the perfect combination. Video

Turkey dishes are well suited for food lovers, as it is low in fat and virtually no carbohydrates. A high-protein and at the same time very healthy dish is roast turkey fillet with vegetables.

Turkey fillet with vegetables

You will need:

– 500 g turkey fillet; – 2 tbsp. l. olive oil; – 1 tbsp. l. lemon juice; – 4-6 potatoes; – 1 large carrot; – medium-sized zucchini; – 1 onion; – 1-2 cloves of garlic; – spices (thyme, basil, oregano); – ground pepper and salt; – sour cream and mayonnaise for dressing.

Wash and dry the turkey fillets. Prepare the meat marinade by thoroughly mixing lemon juice, olive oil, ground black pepper, salt, and two grated garlic cloves. Rub the turkey fillet with the mixture and wrap in foil. Place the meat in the refrigerator and let it sit overnight or overnight. The marinated turkey will become very soft and tender. In addition, the turkey will cook faster.

Chop all the required ingredients. The potatoes should be cut into large pieces so that they do not boil over. Chop the zucchini into small cubes, and the carrots can be grated into thin strips. Chop the garlic with a knife and cut the onion into rings. Fry the onion in a little sunflower oil, then add the garlic and carrots.

Prepare the dressing by mixing two tablespoons of mayonnaise and sour cream. Add ground pepper, thyme, oregano and some basil. Mix well.

You can salt the dressing while cooking, or add salt to an already prepared dish to taste

Cut the turkey fillet into small pieces and place in a pot. Put the zucchini, potatoes there, add onions with carrots and allspice, put the dressing and pour a little hot water, depending on the desired degree of density of the dish.

Cooking a roast turkey with vegetables

Preheat oven to 200 ° C and cook the turkey fillets for an hour. If the stew is not tender enough, lengthen the cooking time. After the roast turkey with vegetables is ready, sprinkle with green onions and fresh herbs and serve. Thanks to young potatoes in combination with sour cream and zucchini dressing, the roast will acquire a very delicate taste, and the herbs of Provence will add an unforgettable aroma.

Using the same recipe, you can try to cook roast beef, dishes from which are also well suited for separate meals.

As an alternative to dressing, you can use a special garlic sauce. To do this, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, a few shabby cloves of garlic and finely chopped parsley. Season with pepper and salt to taste. Once the meat is done, garnish with lettuce leaves and top with the sauce.
