Tip of the day: do functional training

What is functional training and what is the benefit?

Functional training is a combination of strength training, both with the use of sports equipment (free weights, traction equipment, medical balls, core platforms, rollers, etc.), and without it.

With systematic functional training, all muscle groups (including deep ones) are trained, posture is corrected, coordination develops, the risk of injury is reduced, immunity is increased, and stress resistance is strengthened.

Who is functional training for?

Such training is useful for children for proper development, for adults who want to get the body in shape and have good control over it, professional athletes in order not to get injured during training, and even the elderly (subject to training with a trainer).

In particular, functional training is recommended:

  • those who are overburdened with daily physical work,
  • those who lead a sedentary lifestyle,
  • in the post-rehabilitation period,
  • to young mothers in the postpartum period,
  • people with a low level of physical capabilities.

Functional training affects the functioning of the body as a whole, helping to build optimal human functioning not only in sports, but also in everyday life.
