The flower of the plant forms a single basket located at the ends of the stem and branched shoots. The flowers of the sequence are yellow or grayish yellow. The flowering sequence occurs from July to the end of September. In October, the plant produces fruits that outwardly resemble achenes.
The genus of the streak has more than 200 species. In Russia, the most common sequence is tripartite (lat.Bidens tripatita). It is popularly known by the following names: “goat horns”, “dog lover”, “swamp arrow” and “bident”. This species grows only in areas with moist soils (wet meadows, banks of reservoirs, ditches, swamps). The 3-lobed leaves are iconic for this plant.
There are 2 more types of a series that can be encountered in Russia: a series of drooping (Bidens cernua L.) and a series of radials (Bidens radiata Thuill.). But only the tripartite is a medicinal herb. Misuse of a different type is fraught with health hazardous consequences. Therefore, in no case should the various types of sequence be confused with each other.
The radial chain is distinguished by wide flat baskets and numerous wrapping leaves, and the drooping train has drooping baskets and whole serrated leaves
