42-year-old unmarried Australian woman decided on IVF. She chose the child’s dad blindly from the catalog.
Personal life does not add up – what to do, it often happens. Amina Hart had a personal life, but just tragically: she got married, gave birth to a child. The baby died from a rare genetic disease that was passed on to him from his mother. Then Amina had a boyfriend, and she decided to get pregnant again. A boy was born again – and again he died from the same disease. As it turned out, the disease is transmitted only to boys. If Amina got pregnant with a girl, everything would be all right.
The woman approached the threshold of her 42nd birthday alone. No husband, no boyfriend, no children. Amina decided on IVF, because in this case it is possible to choose the gender of the baby. Usually doctors oppose such gender discrimination, considering it unethical. But this is a very good reason. Amina chose an anonymous donor almost blindly.
“The donor described himself as healthy and happy,” the woman explains. “I decided it was enough and I chose him.”
Everything went well – a healthy girl was born, who was named Leila.
The baby grew up no different from her peers. But she was very different from her swarthy mother: blue eyes, blonde hair. Curiosity got the better of Amina, and she decided to find out what Leila’s biological father looks like. And she succeeded, despite the fact that she only knew the name and place where he lives. “It was unrealistic,” he said. … “I looked at this little girl and saw myself and my other children in her. Leila is actually not my daughter in the full sense of the word. But my feelings spoke of something else. “
Amina and Leila met the girly brothers. It turned out to be surprisingly easy.
“They immediately fell in love with Leila. They didn’t even want to leave, ”laughs Scott.
The man decided that he really wanted to be a part of Leila’s life. He began to visit his mother and daughter – infrequently, once a month. Quite predictably, they began an affair: he is free, she is free, why not. But a common child still unites.
“None of us expected this to happen,” Scott shrugs. – I first fell in love with Leila, and then I fell in love with Amina. I know this is a strange story. “
“But sometimes putting a horse in front of the cart – it works,” Amina says.
This story ended, like a good fairy tale, with a wedding. One day while on a trip to Thailand, Scott went to fetch milk for Leila and returned with a ring for Amina. And she said yes.
“You know, I do not exclude that when I grow old, some guy or girl about 30 years old will knock on our door and say that I am his father. It’s amazing, ”Scott laughs.
