The establishments of the province of Valladolid through the Provincial Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of Valladolid, may participate in this gastronomic contest.
The seventeenth edition of this particular contest is already being held, the prelude to summer, and preparatory to warm up engines before the national event, which is held in Pucela in autumn.
It will be next week, from June 9 to 14, when the professional jury of the organization of the event, will give the starting signal to the establishments that present their snacks to the visitor within the standard established in the contest.
Companies that culinary creations that are presented in the category of “Spike” must be offered to the public at the price of € 1,80, being able to make a second skewer within the category of “desserts” optionally in order to complete your offer to participate in the contest.
The awards and recognitions are already known from previous editions, and they will seek to win:
- Golden Skewer
- Silver skewer
- Bronze skewer
- Copper Skewer
As a special recognition, the “Best skewer of the Province”, will be the object of desire on the part of the hoteliers and again the professional jury of the contest will be the one who chooses it from among all the participants, taking into account their ingenuity, construction, taste and notoriety.
For each idea or development to be rewarded, the jury, apart from the aforementioned premise, will also raise the skewers that stand out in each of the characteristics or concepts that they take into account for their deliberation, as well as the ecological specifications y allergen free of some varieties, also being able to opt for the recognition of:
- Best concept
- Best vegan skewer
- Best gluten free skewer.
- Most avant-garde skewer
- More traditional skewer
As a culmination, the participation of all the residents and visitors of the city or province during the days of the event, will make them protagonists, contributing their individual vote through a computer application for mobile phones, choosing between their votes to Most Popular Skewer, and participating them in parallel in a raffle to reward their selfless contribution.
As a novelty this edition, you can freely make a skewer aimed at children, and in turn participate in the award category Best children’s skewer.
