The most dangerous domestic pests hide in our apartments, eat up our food and leave harmful germs. What pests should we pay special attention to? What diseases do the most dangerous domestic pests transmit?

Domestic pests – mites

Dust mites are so small that they cannot be seen with the naked eye, but they are found in every home. Mites most often nest in mattresses, upholstered furniture, carpets and even in curtains. They are the most harmful mite droppingswhich have a high level of allergens and can therefore be dangerous for allergy sufferers.

Dust mites reproduce most in the spring and summer period. If you want to get rid of them, you should first of all take care of cleanliness in the house, vacuum regularly – even the mattress, change bedding and get rid of dust, especially in hard-to-reach places behind sofas, armchairs, radiators, under wardrobes and beds.

Domestic pests – cockroaches

Cockroaches are omnivorous insects, love warm and humid rooms. Their presence should worry us, because cockroaches carry many serious diseases, including influenza virus, rotavirus, tuberculosis and even cholera. Cockroaches also carry many fungi and bacteria that cause disease not only in humans but also in domestic animals. In people prone to allergies, cockroaches can cause allergic reactions and even lead to asthmatic reactions.

Domestic pests – German cockroaches

Just like cockroaches, German cockroaches are also dangerous for people. Ps also like warm and humid rooms, so they can look for a place to live in our kitchens and bathrooms. Hiding in the gaps under the cupboards, in the paneling, behind the moldings and under the cookers, they only go out in search of food.

Ps choose polluted and dirty rooms where no one will disturb them and where they can find food. Ps are dangerous pests because they contaminate food products with bacteria, mold and faeces. Moreover, German cockroaches carry such dangerous diseases as leprosy, cholera, tuberculosis or diarrhea, as well as parasites.

Domestic pests – rats and mice

Rats and mice are also domestic pests and can transmit dangerous zoonoses. These rodents can also carry parasites and bacteria that contaminate food. Among the diseases that are transmitted by these rats and mice, we can mention, for example, typhoid fever, trichinosis or salmonellosis.

Diseases are not everything, rodents are pests that destroy everything in their obstacle to get to food. They can destroy insulation, damage electric cables, doors, floors, walls and even roofs, contributing to damp rooms and the formation of mold in the building.

Domestic pests – fly

When considering the most dangerous domestic pests, we don’t have to look far. The fly, which is in every home during the summer season, is a carrier of pathogenic germs. It not only sits on our food, but also on carcasses and animal excrements.

The fly can carry the anthrax and dysentery bacteria as well as pinworm eggs. Eggs a lot we can find it in manure, kitchen waste and even garbage. They reproduce very quickly in a warm environment. The fly leaves droppings on windows and walls dozens of times a day.

Domestic pests – fruit flies

Fruit flies are tiny pests that have a short life but multiply very quickly. They feed on rotting fruit, ripe fruit, but also jams, syrups in which they also lay eggs. Fruit flies attract everything that is fermenting, including wine and beer.

Fruit fly larvae they contaminate food products just like adults. These pests carry microbes, molds, bacteria and fungi. The appearance of fruit flies should not be underestimated, although it is so small and inconspicuous.
