The Gourmet Caliphate returns

For the fourth year in a row, a new edition of the Califato Gourmet gastronomic event is presented.

Haute cuisine returns to the city of Córdoba, to highlight the local culinary culture, as well as the excellence of the products of its province.

Throughout October 16 and 17, haute cuisine will flood the city of Córdoba, with the participation of a cast of the most renowned chefs in our country, all marinated with local products such as extra virgin olive oil, pork products or fragrant wines.

The gastronomic event is aimed at professionals in the restoration, haute cuisine and culinary preparation, with the clear objective of turning the Andalusian city into the world capital of avant-garde cuisine and quality food.

In it we will be able to see again, as in previous editions of the gourmet caliphate, the four cultural roots of the city, Roman, Arab, Jewish and Christian in a very special culinary format.

Ultimately, Córdoba Califato Gourmet It will be a place of enjoyment for the participants, combining talent and professionalism in the preparation together with exclusive culinary experiences and sensations.

What can we see in Cordoba Califato Gourmet?

The program for the two days of the gastronomic event is listed below:

The first day, Monday:

• presentation Califato Show Cooking Street Food. On the Bulevar del Gran Capitán, different hospitality establishments in the city and the province will offer the attending public a wide variety of tapas at a price of 2 euros per unit.

In a contest format, attendees will be able to vote for their favorite, and in parallel, the professional jury will choose those chosen to participate in the Official ShowCooking of 2018.

• La Slow Dinner. At the Castle of La Albaida, where three simultaneous dinners will be held, each one led by a chef with a Michelin star, where 60 diners will enjoy menus of exquisite quality and culinary avant-garde.

During the second day, Tuesday:

• The Awards Ceremony for this edition will be held at the Real Círculo de la Amistad to the six winning tapas.
• Celebration of the Official Show Cooking, in the Real Círculo de la Amistad, with capacity for 250 attendees, where each participant will represent their special culinary demonstration of their innovative and creative tapas.
