The best scents for winter

Notes: an accord of plum leaves, ripe pink grapefruit and sparkling Italian bergamot, middle notes are osmanthus and neroli, in the heart of the fragrance are notes of Arabian jasmine, and the bottom notes are myrrh, vetiver and tonka bean.

Reality: Having dealt with the notes, I realized that the fragrance is really complex, just the way I like it. It is pleasantly sweet, fruity and floral notes are felt. After the first application on the skin, I realized that I really like it. When the top notes evaporated, the most persistent ones remained, which reminded me of a mixture of vanilla with woody notes – this is how vetiver and tonka bean feel. It is they who create the effect of a warm aroma that can definitely warm even on the coldest day.

Eau de parfum turned out to be incredibly persistent, colleagues at work asked until evening what kind of fragrance it was. Alas, I could not feel it, because almost immediately after application I stopped feeling the aroma – a sure sign that it is mine.

Rating: 10 from 10… For warmth and stamina, I would rate it higher, if it were possible.

Notes: the famous perfumer Daniella Andrie, who created this delightful fragrance, has put into it the most valuable components of classic haute perfumery: notes of mandarin leaves (top note), noble iris (middle note), patchouli and musk (base notes).

Reality: By the way, did you know that Tiffany’s connection with iris flowers can be traced in the oldest sketches from the archives, and during the existence of the house, irises have become an important part of its cultural heritage? I didn’t know this either, until I approached the study of a new fragrance that I liked. There is a small question about resilience, it happens very quickly that I do not feel the train on me. True, they say that it should be so if the scent really suits you.

Evaluation: 9 out of 10. The scent definitely deserves the highest praise, but a small nuance with persistence still makes me lower the score a little. I must say, I was impressed not only by the magical scent of eau de parfum, but also by the magnificent, recognizable design of Tiffany.

Notes: The aroma begins to sound with sweet notes of lotus and fragrant violets, then turns into a heady accord of creamy gardenia and spicy orange blossom. Warm patchouli, delicate white musk and sophisticated white amber finish off the composition.

Reality: refreshing, sensual and seductive – this fragrance has many associations, but whatever you call it, it will still embody a kind of floral melody in which every girl can hear her favorite notes. The perfume is in a beautiful pink bottle, reminiscent of summer and hot holidays. In general, everything is the way we girls love.

I put a few drops on the collarbones and control drops on the wrist. A cloud of flowers enveloped me immediately, which then gave way to spicy sweet notes. The scent lasted all day long, and even in the evening one could feel an unobtrusive light sillage.

Rating: 10 of 10 points. I decided not to wait for spring, but to paint the gray autumn weekdays now.

– To be honest, I do not like to think in narrow categories. “Summer”, “autumn”, “winter” aroma – it’s all too primitive for me. I can put on a heavy oriental scent on a hot day or use a fresh perfume in the cold – seasonality is not important. The main thing for me is my mood and self-perception at a particular moment in my life. But if we talk about Dirty Velvet, then yes – it may well be considered winter, as it goes well with dreary gray days.

Notes: The very complex aroma of Vilhelm Parfumerie can be attributed to several perfume groups at once: aquatic, woody, floral, leather, fruity. Top notes are neroli and pamelo. Heart notes – fig, tobacco leaf, vetiver. Base notes are musk salt and sandalwood.

Reality: I adore complex perfumery compositions, niche perfumery – my love for several years. Dirty Velvet by Vilhelm Parfumerie was an unexpected discovery for me. It smells like Paris, old books and wood. At first, the perfume seemed too citrusy to me when the pamelo accord had just opened on the skin. But after a few minutes the sour note was gone, skin, wood and figs appeared – in general, everything that I value so much in aromas. After another couple of hours, my favorite sandalwood combined with salt appeared. In this state, the fragrance stayed with me until the end of the day, slightly changing, but at the same time remaining persistent. All in all, he definitely made the list of my favorites.

Rating: 10 out of 10. Dirty Velvet is not obtrusive or sweet at all. A pleasant, complex, multifaceted and, in my opinion, quite versatile fragrance.

Notes: the magic of attraction opens with yellow mandarin and cardamom (top notes). Iris, violet, heliotrope, jasmine and cedar wood are felt in the middle notes. Base notes are vetiver, sandalwood and musk.

Reality: The fragrance has a Dvol name for a reason – I fell in love with it from the first seconds. A complex, attractive, but at the same time not obtrusive smell will be appropriate in any situation: from a business meeting to country gatherings by the fireplace.

The scent instantly matched the body odor, and I almost ceased to feel it. Only a slight indication – today I am “dressed” in “Eisenberg”.
