The selection of hot drinks is often limited: variations of tea and coffee. The most daring try to mix them with seasonings and additives. Here is a selection of the best hot drinks in the world, suddenly you get inspired and cook something like that!

India. Masala chai

This tea contains cardamom, ginger and other spices that are generously bred in hot milk. It is loved and revered by the people of India and they drink it throughout the day – it invigorates and tones, gives strength to the body and spirit. Black tea leaves, green tea leaves, and flower petals are added to this tea, depending on the geography.

Argentina. Mate

For Argentines, mate is a whole national tradition and the same habit as for us coffee all day long. To prepare this drink, take the leaves of the Paraguayan holly and sprinkle them into the calabash – a pumpkin cup. Poured with hot water and infused. Tea is drunk through a straw and tastes bitter. It is customary to share your cup with friends, and it is indecent to refuse.

 

Morocco. Mint tea

They arrange a real show with this tea – in front of your eyes it is poured from a great height, without spilling a drop. On the way to the cup, the tea is cooled down and served to visitors and passers-by. Drink recipe – tea with fresh mint leaves is brewed in boiling water and a lot of sugar is added.

Bolivia. Api morado

This is a thick and very sweet tea with a bright purple color – served as api morado for breakfast. It is prepared from a mixture of purple corn, cloves, cinnamon and sugar – everything is poured with boiling water. Citrus or fruit pieces are added to the finished tea and served with pies. Api Morado is warming and anti-inflammatory.

Tibet. By cha

This is an unusual tea for our receptors: the drink consists of strongly brewed tea soaked for several hours, then mixed with yak milk butter and salt. Tea is well suited for mountain dwellers: it quenches thirst and is very nutritious, which means it will support the strength of the hiker on steep climbs.

Taiwan. Bubble tea

Initially, it was a mixture of hot black tea and condensed milk, to which a spoonful of tapioca balls was added. Today there are a lot of bubble tea variations: the gastronomic range of tea tastes is very wide. The base remains unchanged, but pearl supplements vary around the world.

Turkey. Salep

Traditionally, the Turks prefer coffee; they have many traditions and recipes associated with this drink. However, there is also a traditional tea in this country – a drink with hot sweet milk and orchid root powder. Today, coconut, raisins or oriental essences are added to salep.

Netherlands. Anise milk

Probably, the traditions of the Dutch are in many ways similar to ours, only instead of mulled wine, the Dutch prefer anismelk, which is served in glasses. A milk-based drink is prepared with anise grains soaked in it – this tea tastes tart and spicy.

China. Tie Guan Yin

Traditional tea drinking is highly respected by the Chinese, and Teguanyin is the basis of these ceremonies. There is even a legend connected with this tea: a poor farmer prayed to the gods for a long time and collected money to repair the temple. In a dream, a wondrous treasure appeared to him, in reality he found it – and it was a plant that became one of the most popular types of tea in China.
