The basic principles of separate feeding

The correct process of digestion can occur only in the case of a competent combination of products, namely proteins, fats and carbohydrates, at one time. The stomach, in which rotting of improperly mixed food occurs, will not be able to supply the body with calories and vitamins that were originally present in the foods eaten.

In the article we will dwell in more detail on several specific rules for separate meals. Bread, potatoes, peas, beans, bananas, dates and other carbohydrates are strictly not recommended to be consumed at the same time with lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, pineapple and other acidic fruits. The enzyme ptyalin only works in an alkaline environment. Fruit acids not only prevent the digestion of acids, but also promote their fermentation. Tomatoes should not be consumed with any starchy food. Eat them along with fats or greens. The processes of assimilation of carbohydrates (starches and sugars) and proteins are different from each other. This means that nuts, cheese, dairy products are not allowed at the same time with bread, potatoes, sweet fruits, pies and so on. Sweets (and refined sugar in general) suppress the secretion of gastric juice to a great extent, significantly delaying digestion. Consuming in large quantities, they inhibit the work of the stomach. Two protein foods of different nature (for example, cheese and nuts) require different types of gastric juice for absorption. It should be taken as a rule: in one meal – one type of protein. As for milk, it is desirable to use this product separately from everything else. Fats reduce the activity of the gastric glands, preventing the production of gastric juice for the digestion of nuts and other proteins. Fatty acids reduce the amount of pepsin and hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Jelly, jams, fruits, syrups, honey, molasses – we eat all this separately from bread, cakes, potatoes, cereals, otherwise it will cause fermentation. Hot pies with honey, as you understand, from the point of view of separate nutrition, are unacceptable. Monosaccharides and disaccharides ferment faster than polysaccharides and tend to ferment in the stomach, waiting for the digestion of starches.

By following the simple principles listed above, we can maintain the health of our gastrointestinal tract and the whole organism as a whole.
