Gastritis does not always have obvious signs. Possible symptoms are:

• Abdominal pain, especially in the upper abdomen
• Heartburn, which may get worse or less with food
• Difficulty digesting, indigestion, feeling full or bloated after a light meal
• nausea
• vomiting
• Loss of appetite
• Blood in vomit (coffee colored) or stool (black colored)
