Fishing with a rubber band is an easy way to catch fish. The main thing is to choose the tackle and the right place. The process of fishing with an elastic band consists in throwing a load attached to the end of a piece of thick fishing line after a carabiner with an elastic band. How to make a rubber band for fishing

The distance is calculated based on the length of the leashes: if the length of the leash is 1 meter, then the distance is twice as long. The main line works in the hands of the fisherman. How to collect tackle with your own hands
Such tackle can be made with your own hands, if there is a handle on which you want to wind an elastic band, fishing line, and also if there is an elastic band itself, a load, a fishing line, hooks, swivel carbines, a float. The handle itself can be made of wood, using a hacksaw for work, as well as from plywood, cut two grooves at the ends for laying gum and fishing line. The collection starts from joining the cargo. Based on the length of the casting of the working gear, the weight of the load can reach up to 500 grams. A thick fishing line is attached to it to prevent it from breaking when pulling the load after fishing. Next, we put a carbine and attach an elastic band of the selected length to it, taking into account its extensibility 1×4. Then again comes a carabiner and a working fishing line, to which leashes with hooks are attached at equal distances from each other.
The length of the leash is calculated based on the depth of the reservoir on which fishing will be carried out. You can take leashes of the same length of 50 cm, and it is better to lengthen each alternate leash, which is closer to the shore, by 5 cm, so that the longest one is near the shore and lies at the bottom in the direction of the reservoir. Then we collect all the tackle by winding it on the holder. When winding the elastic, never pull it so that it does not lose its elasticity. Elastic band for do-it-yourself gear can be cut from an electrician’s rubber gloves or from a gas mask in the form of a strip 5 mm wide. Fasten all hooks carefully so that they do not get tangled. The gear is ready to go.
Bottom tackle with rubber shock absorber
Bottom tackle works well in reservoirs without water flow. It alternately consists of a thick fishing line or cord, a carabiner, an elastic band, again a carabiner, the main fishing line with leashes attached to it. For cargo, you can use a stone of sufficient weight. On such a tackle, you can catch fish of different weights, even predatory ones, such as pike, pike perch, or large ones, like silver carp. Tackle makes it possible to fish in any body of water: on the sea, lake, river, reservoir.
Fishermen living near a reservoir set up tackle once and only come to collect their catch. For a sinker, use a stone or a two-liter plastic bottle filled with sand. If these gears are located near the shore, it is not necessary to install a float so that no one covets the catch. A weight can be delivered to the middle of a river or lake in a boat or by swimming, and a foam float can be attached to the end of the thick fishing line to which the weight is attached. Leashes are made according to the type of fish that the fisherman is going to catch. On small crucians, sabrefish, leashes should be taken from a strong and elastic fishing line with sharp hooks, sized to match the type of fish. For large specimens, you need to take thin wire and proper hooks. Donkeys are collected according to the same principle, but the difference is that a feeder in the form of a large spoon or shell is used in front of the load or instead of it. Holes are drilled along the edges of the spoon, into which leashes with hooks and foam balls are attached for buoyancy. In the center of the recess on the spoon there is a feeder, which is filled with bait, and when the fish smells of food, it enters directly into the area where the leashes work.
For catching white fish from the shore or from a boat, hooks and bottom gear with an elastic band are used. It is very convenient to fish from a boat with an elastic band. For fishing for silver carp, tackle is made according to the same scheme, but taking into account the fact that silver carp is a big and heavy fish. The elastic band is taken with a larger section, and the fishing line is stronger. If you are fishing on a river, it makes sense to swim across it and set up a weight or secure the end of the line on the opposite bank, and the rest of the rig with leads will work on your bank, attached to the peg. In the presence of bait, the fish swims to it and gets tangled in the net, which is signaled by a float or signal bell (if any). This type of fishing is designed for restless anglers who went ashore, loosened their gear, whispered about fishing, collected their catch and gear and left to cook fish soup.
