Closer to life
What is purpose? Perhaps what you have the opportunity to achieve the greatest success? Or where you will bring the most benefit to other people? Or something that will allow you to live happily ever after? Or what suits your style best? Or an accident: habits from childhood plus a few recurring circumstances? Or something else? Unless, of course, you do not look into the mystical distances of egregor, karma or providence. How to answer the question «What is your purpose» if it is not too clear what it is in general? As always in such cases, in order to understand the essence, we will try to descend as close as possible to the sinful earth and take a description that can be called, if not cynical, then at least pragmatic. Let’s put it this way: a person calls destiny, often with a romantic aspiration, what allows (or he hopes that will allow) him to get better in life. What does «better» mean? I’m afraid I won’t give the whole list (because of the vast human imagination), but let’s take at least what the remarkably sober-minded Boris Alekseevich Kirilenko singled out. (It is to him that the inescapable belongs: “The human essence is that he is greedy, cowardly, stupid and lustful”). Let’s name not only sex and the ability to freely spend money, not only satisfied vanity and everyday comfort, not only a healthy body and protection from enemies, but even the ability to get rid of the annoying claims of others. (As it was in one wonderful book: “He was, as always, brilliant and obnoxious. And if his genius had betrayed him one day, he would have been surprised how many problems his obnoxiousness could bring”).
“I like it — there are abilities — they pay money”
So, let’s ask ourselves not about some romantic “destiny”, but more specifically: “What of my current or future activities will allow me to get better? What is more reliable to provide me with what I want from life? Immediately, of course, the good old formula comes to mind: In life, you need to do what you like to do. And from this what you can be the best. And this is what they pay money for. Despite the simplicity of the formula, it seems to work quite well. However, many start from the other end: I see where others get money, I try to achieve success in this, and for this I force myself to do this business. The paradox, as usual, turns out to be more reliable. What is the point — If you want to receive immediately and directly, you are not only forced to strain yourself constantly for amenities from time to time, but also to be on the sidelines due to lack of desire and talent. It is clear that you use every opportunity, to “score” on this hard work, and if you try to achieve more in it, then your successes are paid for with double labor: you also need to spend money on overcoming disgust. If you are doing what you like, it will not be difficult for you to devote a lot of time to this business. If you also choose where you are great from the very beginning, then along with “a lot of time”, you will quickly overtake your competitors. Which, together with «paying money», makes you fairly free financially. Moreover, which is nice, for this money you do not hunchback, but practically have fun. In a word, everything is fine if we consider it proven that it is money that brings comfort, health, self-satisfaction, sex, protection and independence. However, there may be loopholes. If you are happy to have sex, why not go to gigolos or kept women? It sounds gu.e.vato, but who makes you wear a sign on your forehead? If you like pumping up your body, why not put it to your service? Tarzan got a good job, and Schwarzenegger does not complain. Even the results of long-term self-care can sell well, Paul Bragg is a witness to this. By the way, it is not necessary to lead to the receipt of money. Maybe for sex. “Do what you like, and from this, what you can be the best at, and from this, what is the easiest to get sex for.” Or, let’s say, «And from this, for what it becomes you are praised.» Well, and so on. By the way, you can be truly great just in the matter of multiplying money, sincerely loving this business. “Well, what about the girls? And the girls — then. And still. Still! What if “destiny” is not [only] about “getting better”? What if it’s about “leaving a mark”, “doing something significant”? In fact, this is very similar to pride, self-admiration, pride and other feelings of self-worth. And if you want to boast not in front of people, but in front of yourself or, even more so, in front of some universal force like the Great Bhe, there is not much difference. “Do what you like to do, and from this what you do best, and from this what you can be most proud of.” And if your strict god (your great goal) does not allow you to … prove yourself in your favorite area — well — change them. In the end, “the Hindus invented a good religion”, there will always be not a world leader, but an idea that will suit your ministry. Vishnu, Equality, Quetzlcoatl, Mother Nature, Buddha, Antiglobalism, Holy Someone, Mother Russia, Spirits of Ancestors, Human Rights, Dervish Heritage and other High Art. Are you a feisty person? Find a way to protest against something nasty? Do you tend to teach and bully people? Become a preacher or teacher of something very serious. If you like to squander and people like you, do charity work. Unrestrained to the front — raise the flag of Free Love. Even if you tend to cause trouble for others, Law and Order will be on your side if you don’t forget to wear their uniform. Otherwise, go to human rights defenders. Over thousands of years of human history, many ways have been invented to find a high and serious meaning in their daily activities and addictions. Pick something to your liking. And don’t be bored.
