Pimple on the face: which natural anti-pimple mask?

Pimple on the face: which natural anti-pimple mask?

Pimples, and especially acne pimples, are inflammation of the sebaceous glands. Applying an anti-pimple mask amounts to calming the inflammation to decrease, then make these imperfections disappear. Which natural masks are the most effective in removing pimples? Do Grandma’s Pimple Recipes Work?

If oily skin is more prone to pimples, it should not be stripped by a mask or other treatment. Indeed, attacking the sebaceous glands amounts to stimulating them. On the contrary, the skin should be treated as gently as sensitive skin.

Honey to treat acne pimples

Exceptional properties

Among the best-known and most effective grandmother’s recipes, honey is at the top of the podium.

Its healing properties have made it a real medical treatment. But honey is not only nourishing and healing, it also has unique combined sanitizing properties. Indeed, it produces in particular an enzyme which causes the formation of hydrogen peroxide.

A mask to apply every day

This is why honey is an excellent anti-pimple treatment, provided that the operation is repeated over a period of at least 3 weeks every day. Its antiseptic action on the one hand and its restorative action on the other hand allow to play in parallel on the two tables.

To benefit from its exceptional anti-pimples and anti-acne properties in general, use it as a mask in thick layers. It is useless, even counterproductive, to add another ingredient that could denature it. Leave it on for at least an hour, every day. The effects will quickly be felt on the condition of your skin.

A classic edible honey will work just as well as any other honey, whether it’s manuka or thyme. They have the same properties. However, pay attention to the origin and quality of the honey.

Aleppo soap

The real Aleppo soap recipe contains a mixture of olive oil and bay laurel oil. Olive oil is an exceptional oil for deeply nourishing and hydrating the skin. Bay laurel oil has purifying, cleansing and antioxidant properties.

You can either get these two vegetable oils and apply them as a mask in equal parts. Or use Aleppo soap. To do this, lather soap between your hands, or using a face brush, and apply the thick foam to your face. Leave on for 5 minutes without waiting for the mask to become too dry so as not to dry out your skin. Rinse and then apply your treatment.

Clay

Very oily skin can use clay. However, since green clay is very absorbent, it dries up the skin enormously, literally sucking up sebum. Which is not a good thing.

In order to benefit from the absorbing and detoxifying effects of clay without drying out the epidermis, opt for pink clay instead. It is a mixture of red clay and white clay, which you can obtain yourself or buy off-the-shelf. This clay also helps to heal the skin, which makes it an excellent homemade anti-pimple mask.

However, do not let it dry out. You can leave this mask on for ten minutes, but no more. You need to rinse it off before it dries on the skin, otherwise it will absorb all of its moisture.

Anti-pimples solutions to ban

As you can see, it is not necessary to make complicated mixtures to obtain a homemade mask against pimples.

But it happens that grandmother’s recipes, which are not really, pass from ear to ear and claim to be miracle recipes:

  • This is how we saw the “perfect remedy” for drying pimples flourish: toothpaste. There was never any question of applying it as a mask, but at least on the areas concerned. If the toothpaste can indeed dry out the pimples, it will especially attack, or even burn the skin.
  • Lemon juice on the skin is also not a good idea for pimples. It gives radiance but its astringency and very high acidity can attack the sebaceous glands. Prefer lemon hydrosol, softer, which gently tones and tightens pores.
