Melanoleuca strictipes (Melanoleuca strictipes) is a fungus belonging to the genus Basidomycetes and the Ryadovkovy family. It is also called Melanoleuca or Melanolevka straight-legged. The main synonym of the name is the Latin term Melanoleuca evenosa.

For a mushroom picker without experience, the straight-legged melanoleuk may resemble ordinary champignon, but it has a distinctive feature in the form of white plates of hymenophore. Yes, and the described type of mushroom grows mainly at high altitudes, in the mountains.

The fruiting body of the fungus is represented by a cap and a stem. The cap diameter is 6-10 cm, and in young mushrooms it is characterized by a vaulted and convex shape. Subsequently, the cap becomes flatter, always has a mound in the central part of its surface. To the touch, the mushroom cap is smooth, whitish in color, sometimes creamy and darker in the middle. The hymenophore plates are often arranged, whitish in color.

The leg of a straight-legged melanoleuk is characterized by a dense structure, moderately expanded, white in color, has a thickness of 1-2 cm and a height of 8-12 cm. The pulp of the fungus has a subtle aroma of flour.

Mushroom spores are colorless, characterized by an ellipsoidal shape and dimensions of 8-9 * 5-6 cm. Their surface is covered with small warts.

Fruiting in the mushroom of the described species is quite abundant, lasts from June to October. Straight-legged melanoleuks grow mainly in meadows, gardens and pastures.
